Tailgate Markets Opening Soon
Our favorite time of year is once again on the way - tailgate markets will be opening soon. The Polk County Tailgate in Columbus will open on Saturday, April 7 (hours will be the same as before, 8 am - 11:30 am every Saturday in front of the Court House). And, the Tryon Tailgate Market will open the first Wednesday in June and run through September (watch for details on that market as the opening date draws closer). It is still early for most types of produce, but in anticipation of the arrival of lettuce, and asparagus, two of today's recipes will highlight those springtime favorites, and the meal is completed with salmon topped with a mustard glaze.
