Recipes That Don't Include Cooking
Like most people, we assume that the food we bring into our kitchen will probably be cooked in some way. After attending a live (or raw) food workshop, we have a new way of thinking about ingredients. Patricia Streit and Jean Snipes provided three hours of information, entertainment, and great food as they demonstrated ways to enjoy the true taste of some beautiful ingredients. The raw kale salad is amazing, and we have shared their recipe with numerous people. The smoothie is also a new favorite, even when taking into consideration the rather daunting task of "opening" the coconut (more on that below).
Included in this column are a couple of recipes from the last workshop, along with one that will be prepared at the upcoming event on Saturday, May 10 from 10am - 1pm .
